About my current job
Most of my time is spent running the department but I also research attention and awareness and I enjoy teaching and supervising too.
Fond memories of my time at EP
My final year project involved rigging up an infrared camera on the ceiling of the lecture theatre, so it all had to be run after hours. I had to create and then disassemble the set-up for each session of data collection, so after everyone else had gone home you could find me clanking around the department dragging huge bits of metal around. For some reason, I remember all of this with extreme fondness, as do the friends of mine who took part (they had to walk up and down the lecture theatre in pitch darkness over and over again). Happy days!
How did friends made during your time at EP influence your life?
The friendships that I made during my two stints in EP have already lasted over twenty years in some cases, and are set to last a lifetime. As well as supporting each other through essay crises, finals and numerous research roadblocks, we have introduced each other to the food and drink of our home countries, travelled around the world together and looked after each other through some of life's biggest challenges.
