About my current job
I currently hold an MRC Senior Fellowship in Hearing Research at the University of Cambridge, where I carry out research on auditory perception in children. I am interested in how auditory processes develop over childhood, how they relate to language development, and how they are affected by hearing and language disorders.
Something important I learned during my time at EP
After my undergraduate degree, I thought I knew a lot about psychology. When I started my DPhil, I realised I knew very little. That was a really humblng experience. Now I know that I continue to learn every day.
Did you have a favourite tutor/lecturer/prof, and how did they inspire you?
I was lucky enough to have Prof Dorothy Bishop as my supervisor. She inspired me by being the most brilliant scientist, who wasn't afraid to speak up when she thought things were wrong. She still inspires me today.
