Something important I learned during my time at EP
Having studied psychology of itself did not influence my career path as such though it enabled me to do a PhD in Occupational Psychology later on at University College London. The intellectual rigour I developed at Oxford was essential to my future career. I have retained a life long interest in psychology and loved the content of the various areas I studied, without being able to name one which I enjoyed more than another.
Fond memory of my time at EP
I enjoyed the experiments with sticklebacks.
Did you have a favourite tutor/lecturer/prof, and how did they inspire you?
Dr Buffery, my tutor, was an amusing man. He would tell us with regret of his time with Cambridge Footlights as a contemporary of the Monty Python people, and how he chose not to stay with them but to pursue an academic career.
